Auvergne, France/ August 2011

I went on holiday with a friend of mine and we went to a part of France called Auvergne. It is in the middle south of France and it is a beautiful area.We moved every couple of days to a new host house. We met a lot of people, mainly local thanks to the host house system. We lived in a house in the middle a nowhere surrounded by lakes with no signal at all and at night we could see the milky way with no problem at all. A magic place away from where we think we live.We lived in sort of caslte where the marmelades are homemade and the bread too, and basicly everything is picked up from the garden or freshly baked in the 'château'. The odd couple had a dog and two cats (i think, or maybe only one), and a horse, or two , i can't exactly remember. But it was a small village also far away from 'our' reality/everyday life in the city.We lived in a cosy flat with an asian garden in Champane (needless to say, we drank champagne !).We went to the top of Le Puy en Velay. It was very windy and grey, not the perfect day to go, but i still loved it, it was very hazy and beautiful. We visited the Moulin Richard-de-Bas, where they do paper old-fashionned way. Really beautiful, also they putted flowers in the paper while doing it, the whole process was so impressive ! Quite an invention ! I still cant believe someone came up with the idea of paper... Anyway, it was very beautiful and once 'made' they put the paper to dry so it becomes paper, and it hangs like laundery. a full space of these drying papers, white and other colored. it was very nice.We also took a train throught Les Gorges de L'Alliées. it's an area that can't even be visited by walking because no one actually really went there. Only real specialist can go and otherwise you take the train to see these landscape where the human never went to live(but they did made a railway....anyway). So beautiful, it was very sunny and the landscape plus the fact that we were in a train, such a nice experince ! We lived in other places but i can't remember ! It's only a two ago and still memories flies away quite fast. And we ate delicious crêpes aux sarrasins of course ! Mmmh, it really was a nice restaurant! Oh and of course we ate blue cheese and other (as it comes from there !).
Anyway Auvergne is such a magnificent place. Full of nature, beautiful walk, nature nature nature ! I resourced myself a lot there. Even though it's quite far away i still have some feeling i got when i was there, like when i saw the milky way cristal clear throught my own eyes, such an impressive feeling. I felt small, alone, but surronded, and quite amazed to be alive, to think, to breathe, to be.
